The internet is in mourning today. I’ve been in comic book geek media for about a decade, and had the chance to meet Stan Lee a number of times. He was a man who was genuinely excited and happy to meet with his fans, and even working into his 90s, with the superhero reality tv show and the Stan Lee convention in Los Angeles. For me, he defined what it meant to be a creative, to follow your heart and never stop making things. Some of his greatest contributions were from his career in his 40s, when he really had creative control. I wanted to share a couple shots from my archive, and some memories of an icon that I’m thankful influences the lives of so many around me. I’ve also creative commons’ed the whole set on Flickr; most were shot around 2010 for Comic Book Resources. https://www.flickr.com/photos/pinguino/albums/72157673416862737
